Specifically, the individual mandate exceeds congress' power under the commerce Clause. The ruling does not overturn the whole law, but essentially severs the enacting clause. One could do mental gymnastics analyzing the ruling from a legal perspective, but the bottom line is the united states supreme Court is inevitably going to hear the case. There is not much sense in talking about it seriously until then.

Needless to say, the 11th circuit court of appeals is a bunch of teabagging racists. They would have never ruled against the individual mandate if a white president had come up with the idea, right? Well, who knows? The judges were all Bill Clinton appointees.
